Crochet Scoodie Pattern
* This is a digital pdf file which can be downloaded after checkout. A download link will also be sent to your email address. This is not a physical product, for a custom scoodie please see the listing here.
This pattern is written in US terms.
Materials:
4mm crochet hook
220g Hobbycraft Leader of the Pack
(90g colour 1
60g colour 2
70g colour 3)
Recommended Yarn:
Any Aran weight, brushed acrylic yarn will work best for this, the fluffier the yarn, the less obvious the gaps between the stitches will be, and the warmer the hood will keep you. Alternatively, you can hold a strand of mohair or similar together with a smoother main yarn to achieve the same brushed/fuzzy effect.
e.g. Hobbii Fluffy Day, Stylecraft Grace, James C. Brett Aztec Aran
Gauge
The gauge doesn’t necessarily matter for this project, especially if you’re working with a different yarn and hook size. Just crochet more or less rows per square to reach the required measurements.
Difficulty
This is an advanced beginner-friendly pattern; it includes detailed photos for each step which makes it easy to follow along. If you are a total beginner and don’t know how to make the following, it’s worth familiarising yourself with these first:
double crochet, single crochet, standing single & double crochet, slip stitch, chain, bind off, join-as-you-go, foundation row, changing colours
